Insurance
The office accepts private Oxford Insurance and United Healthcare.
However, the majority of our patients have neither of these plans, yet choose to see Dr. Spivak because of his outstanding reputation and his conservative approach to management based on 25 years of experience. In the case of financial hardship, other arrangements can be made. As a courtesy, we will submit a health insurance claim form for patients with non-participating insurance so that you can be reimbursed directly from your insurance company. Please call the office to make an appointment and discuss the first visit and follow-up visit fees.
Parents recognize the importance of experience in diagnosing and treating their child's problems. With Dr. Spivak's experience, children undergo fewer procedures, and his treatment is directed at improving the problem with a minimum of diagnostic tests and medication.
One out of four patients who see Dr. Spivak have already seen other Pediatric Gastroenterologists. In some cases, if the patients had seen Dr. Spivak in the beginning, invasive diagnostic procedures could have been avoided.

Hours
Monday through Friday from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. However, Dr. Spivak sees patients Monday through Thursday. Dr. Spivak answers emergency calls personally 24 hours a day.

Getting to the Office
The office is conveniently located at 177 East 87th Street, Suite 305, New York, NY 10128 USA. The entrance is between 3rd Avenue and Lexington Avenue. Alternately, for baby carriages and deliveries, use the 1556 3rd Avenue entrance between 87th and 88th Street.

Parking is available on 87th Street between 2nd and 3rd Avenue. Limited street and metered parking are also available.

The office is located within 2 blocks of Lexington and 86th, with connection to multiple subway and bus lines.
